Dividend Growth Investing: How I Select Stocks
As a dividend growth investor, my goal is to drive a sustainable stream cash flow that exceeds my living expenses from high quality dividend-paying companies. I like to call my dividend stock portfolio my "Dividend Machine". A machine is only as good as its parts. Learn how I have built my machine through eight stock selection filters. Of course, I have other filters as well that go into my analysis and selection process, but these eight top the list!
Dividend Growth Investing: Three Ways To Buy Dividend Stocks
How does one buy stocks? What if one is dollar cost averaging and only investing smaller increments of capital with each purchase? When you’re building a dividend stock portfolio, there are three different ways to buy stocks: stock brokers, transfer agents (DRIPs and DSPs), and new disruptive technologies. Learn the pros and cons of each. When watching this video, don’t limit yourself to one avenue. One could argue that mixing and matching all of these options creates a winning portfolio-wide strategy.
Earned Income Vs. Passive Income (Learn About Dividend-Paying Stocks)
Building websites and blogging does not generate passive income. I love websites as digital assets that allow one to earn extra money. In fact, that is the genesis of my company IJL Productions LLC. No matter how flexible (work from anywhere at any time), an online income is an active income. It has some characteristics of passive income (such as the snowball/compounding effect), but it’s still mostly earned. By contrast, dividend-paying stocks offer true passive income. I do nothing and receive dividends in my sleep. Learn more about earned income vs. passive income in this video.
Why I Love Dividend Growth Investing For Passive Income
It is no exaggeration that I am obsessed with dividend growth investing. Learn some of the top reasons why dividend-paying stocks are my vehicle of choice for passive income.
Dividend Growth Investing: How To Yield 20%+ On Cost
An overlooked metric in the world of dividend investing (and personal finance overall) is yield on cost. What is yield on cost? It’s the dividend income you receive in the present year divided by the actual amount of money you invested. Yield on cost rises as your dividend income increases over the years (thanks to companies that faithfully raise their dividends like clockwork). In this video, I share a simple financial model explaining how anyone can yield 20%+ on cost. Compared with most starting yields in the 3% range, this 20% yield on cost is a reflection of patience and highlights why I love dividend growth investing.
Investing For Dividends and Cash Flow
What is your investment strategy? Mine revolves around receiving an increasing stream of dividends from world-class companies. What is a dividend, you ask? It’s a payment (typically quarterly) that many companies make to their shareholders. They are sharing a part of their profits, if you will, directly with those that own the company. This is cash that shows up in your brokerage account just for owning the stock. You have to do nothing else! The best companies, in my opinion, not only pay dividends but increase dividends each year.

Homepage Takeovers: Tips For Digital Marketers Running Large Display Campaigns
In the world of programmatic advertising, the traditional CPM-based homepage takeover may sound so old school. Those days of taking over the Yahoo! homepage or the AOL homepage are over, right? Only those large brands with branding budget (not direct response budget) focus their efforts on such things, right? Wrong! I’m a huge proponent of homepage takeovers for the right type of direct response advertiser. Learn how I personally leverage such takeovers for direct response campaigns.
